Our History

DYCO Real Estate Inc. was formed in 1990 and has grown to include 13 full time appraisers. We have valued thousands of properties throughout Colorado and the surrounding states. Our appraisers have vast experience in all types of valuations and real estate properties. The main DYCO Real Estate office is located in Lakewood with a satellite office in Longmont to better serve our clients with property in Northern Colorado.

Key People

Jackson Markley, President

Jackson oversees the consulting and business operations for DYCO. Jackson brings a history of business consulting, technology and strategy development to DYCO Real Estate.

Prior to DYCO, Jackson founded a real estate consulting firm developing financial and growth strategies for midsized real estate firms. Jackson also worked in business development and strategy at Level 3 Communications after receiving his MBA from Columbia Business School.

In 1993, he began his career by starting the first of three companies in Asia. The first company manufactured clothing in Indonesia, the second designed golf facilities in China and manufactured golf equipment for global distribution and the third sold data and communication services to financial institutions in Hong Kong. Jackson graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in International Relations.

Doug Agne, Vice President

Doug joined DYCO in 2001; he is a Senior Appraiser responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of our valuation reports. Doug is adept at valuing highly complex valuation projects and is a valued consultant. Doug has an excellent record providing litigation support and is an expert in Transit Oriented developments.

Prior to joining DYCO, Doug was an account executive at Jato Communications. Doug graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 1991. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and a licensed broker in the State of Colorado.

Mark Federer, Vice President

Mark joined DYCO in 2002; he is a Senior Appraiser and leads the appraisal review committee at DYCO. Mark is an expert in residential and commercial sub-division developments throughout Colorado and frequently consults for both developers and municipalities.

Prior to DYCO, Mark worked at Hein Appraisals Inc. and the Division of Housing at the City of Boulder. Mark graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1997. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Colorado.

Karl Knipling, Director

Karl joined DYCO in 2002; he sits on the DYCO appraisal review committee and is responsible for mentoring our licensed analysts through a structured program to become full time and highly qualified commercial real estate appraisers.

Before joining DYCO, Karl was with F&W Forestry Services, Inc., Charlottesville, VA appraising large acreage timberland. Karl received a Master of Science, Forest Management from West Virginia University and his Bachelor of Science, Forestry and Wildlife, from Virginia Tech. Karl is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in State of Colorado.

Ryan Cronin, Director

Ryan joined DYCO in 2004; he sits on the DYCO appraisal review committee and is a key member of the team with expertise in Mountain Properties. Ryan is also a mentor for our licensed analysts going through our internal training program.

Ryan joined DYCO after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Ryan is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in State of Colorado.
